Where do you stand? Alongside our Black brothers and sisters, defending their rights, or so you stand with the forces of oppression that have too long dehumanized and murdered without regard for their rights? Protests are happening around the world, and people are being shot, maimed, and murdered. We have proposal by Letitia Plummer that will begin to address the impunity with which HPD operates. Will you make calls and send emails? Will you call out the conditions that protesters are being held in?
The choice is yours.
In order to get this proposal passed, we the people must contact City Council and make a demand for it!
To those who are trying to learn what you can do to become a better ally, this is an action you can take NOW.
To those who have been marching, protesting, and/or been arrested over the last week, this proposal is a direct response to the power of your voice. Call our Council Members and let them know you support this. Don’t stop fighting. It’s working. ✊🏿✊🏼✊🏾✊🏻✊🏽
